At Berean Baptist Church, we have a wide range of ministries. These ministries not only cater to the many individual needs of your family, but also provide ample opportunities for Christian service.
Sunday School Department
Classes meet every Sunday at 9:45 A.M. Children's classes are divided by age and grade. We also have many adult classes including several that are designed for age specific married couples. Specific classes such as a singles class, Spanish speaking class, Vietnamese speaking class, and a class for ladies that are facing the struggles of life alone also meet on a weekly basis.
Nursery Department
Nurseries are provided for all church services in our Amanda's Pandas Department. Five age specific areas provide a safe, enjoyable place for children from infants through age three. Each area is staffed with experienced, dedicated volunteers to care for the children. Activities include Bible stories and songs as well as play time.
Youth Department
The Youth Department at Berean Baptist Church is designed to give teenagers a secure place where they can have some fun and learn life lessons. With a balance of fun and responsibility, teenagers have many of their needs met by our Youth Department. Our youth group has one to two activities per month including a yearly camp retreat. Our teens are also very active in our community and have many evangelistic opportunities for all 7th - 12th graders. We would like to invite you and your family to join our church as we work with you to give your teenager the opportunities he needs to succceed in life.
Kids' Klub
Kids' Klub is designed specifically for 1st - 6th grade children. This exciting ministry meets every Sunday at 5:45 P.M. Kids' Klub meetings include competitions, games, and Scripture memorization. Children are taught Biblical principles and character traits that will help them throughout life. Kids' Klub also meet once a month for a group activity. These activities range from gym night to local activities such as bowling or miniature golf. Come join us this Sunday and see what the fun is all about.
Berean Christian Academy
Berean Christian Academy desires that every student receives training and guidance in the direction of becoming exactly what God wants him to be. We feel that we have the best academic program of any school in the area. We also endeavor to instill within our students Godly principles that will help them make the proper decisions for their lives on their own after they leave the influence of our school.
Berean Baptist College
Berean Baptist College offers an exciting opportunity for young people to prepare for a life of service for our Savior. Pastor's Soul-winning and Sunday School Visitation
This group meets with Pastor Neal at 6:50 on Thursday nights for a time of prayer and visitation. Teams are organized to make visits ranging from visitor follow-ups, apple pie delivery, Sunday School visitation, and soul-winning. Childcare is provided.
Harvester's Club
This soul-winning ministry meets every Saturday morning at 9:30. This ministry is divided into teams covering different areas in Clay County. It is designed to be a training ministry as well as strategically making a gospel presentation to every home in our county. Childcare is provided.
Bus Ministry
Our bus ministry is designed to meet the needs of our community. Unfortunately, in our day and time many parents have to work on Sundays. Therefore, we offer a service that will allow you to go to work and still get your children to church. For more information on the areas that our buses cover, please contact our church office.
Public School Ministry
Berean Baptist Teen Church is a ministry designed for public school teenagers from the ages of 12 - 18. Our goal is to help these teenagers feel right at home in a comfortable environment that is useful in training them for the adult services. We try to teach them that there is a way that teenage Christians are supposed to live; and that while doing their best in trying to live for Christ, they can still have fun. Our teenagers are taught the importance of the Bible, obeying authority in their lives, and most importantly, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. All of our workers are experienced in helping teenagers and are in the services to meet any need that they may have.
Deaf Ministry
Our deaf ministry is unique in that our deaf members are encouraged to be an active part of our church. All services and special events are interpreted for the deaf.
Spanish Ministry
Our Spanish Department has everything God wants for you and your family: Bible preaching, fellowship, and the opportunity to grow in grace. Our services are as scheduled: Sundays at 9:45 A.M., 10:45 A.M., and 6:00 P.M. Come and experience a place where you can grow in the knowledge of our Lord. (I Peter 3:18)
Christian Ladies Fellowship
This group meets once a quarter on a Thursday night. Each meeting provides an opportunity for Christian ladies to fellowship as well as relax while they are away from their responsibilities. There are different activities as well as a different theme for each meeting. CLF is a great opportunity to meet other ladies of the church and to encourage each other in your daily lives.
Nursing Home Ministry
Services are held every Sunday afternoon at many local nursing homes. These sometimes forgotten people are shown love as well as given the Gospel on a weekly basis. This is a great opportunity to share your life with others who many have dismissed.
Sunday Afternoon Outreach
This soul-winning ministry meets every Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Those who are not able to join in our harvester's club on Saturday can have the opportunity to join in our outreach program ever Sunday afternoon.
Music Ministry
The music ministry of Berean Baptist Church is a vital part of this ministry. Our conservative, traditional music helps to prepare the hearts of the congregation for the message that is going to be brought by our pastor. Our choir and orchestra are a great way to get involved in the music program. The choir and orchestra participates in both Sunday services. Both groups meet for practice every Sunday at 4:45 P.M. Pastor's Prayer Partners
Members of this group meet with the Pastor every Monday at 7:00 P.M. A prayer meeting is held to pray for the immediate needs of the church as well as needs of our church members. You may call in your prayer request or submit it online. Prayer lists can also be found on the Welcome Center desk.
Summer Youth League Basketball
Every summer, Berean Baptist Church conducts an intramural basketball league, complete with playoffs and a championship game. This league is set aside to serve young men ranging from 3rd to 7th grade. These young men are taught the fundamental values of character and teamwork. We encourage you to join our league where teamwork, faithfulness, and fun are incorporated into a rewarding experience for your child.
