Dr. Tom Neal
Dr. Tom Neal was born on November 12, 1947, to Herman and Betty Neal. He was saved at the age of six; and thanks to Godly parents, he has been faithful to the Lord and His church since that time. Dr. Neal graduated from Forrest Park High School in Forrest Park, Georgia in the spring of 1965 and surrendered to preach on January 9th, 1966.
After he surrendered to preach in Atlanta, Georgia, he enrolled in Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the fall of 1966. While under Dr. Lee Robersonís ministry at Highland Park Baptist Church and Tennessee Temple College, he met and married the former Becky Stephens on December 23, 1967. The Lord has graciously blessed their home with four sons and several grandchildren.
While attending Tennessee Temple College, he earned a Graduate of Theology Degree in August of 1969 and a Bachelor of Bible Degree in August of 1971. Upon graduation, he served as an Associate Pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Stockbridge, Georgia for three years. Then the Lord led him to Lake Butler, Florida where he served Trinity Baptist Church for three years as Pastor. With a heart for pastors and a heart for people, God used Dr. Neal in full time evangelism for the next three and a half years.
It was in November of 1980 that the Lord led Dr. Neal to Orange Park, Florida to Berean Baptist Church. He has led Berean Baptist Church from a handful of people to a thriving ministry in one of the fastest growing areas of northeast Florida. He has been honored with Doctorate degrees from Heritage Baptist University in Indianapolis, Indiana; Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida; Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana; Carolina Baptist College in Reidsville, North Carolina; and Baptist College of America in Kokomo, Indiana. In the fall of 1998, he founded Berean Baptist College to train future servants of God for the work of God around the world.
For several years, Dr. Tom Neal had the privilege and honor to travel and speak around the world. Because of his richly blessed ministry and his willingness to be a help to others, Dr. Tom Neal continues to travel and speak as the Lord affords opportunities.
In January of 2013, Dr. Tom Neal became the Pastor Emeritus for Berean Baptist Church. On Transition Sunday
, Dr. Tom Neal retired from the pastorate to begin Tom Neal Ministries
to reach out to churches and pastors across America and around the world to stir the hearts of Christians toward revival.
